Foreign countries

I have never been to foreign countries, so I want to go foreign countries. For example, I want to go to France and UK. I want to go to an art museum and the Versailles Palace. When I was a high school student, I studied world history and I was interested in history of France, so I want to go there. London Olympic is coming soon, so I want to go there and watch the opening ceremony. I think we should study about foreign cultures before we go abroad because Japanese culture and foreign cultures are different.

Who will get the center position?

  An election will be hold to decide who is the center of AKB on next Wednesday. The interim report showed that Oshima Yuko got a lot of votes. Maeda Astuko who was the center of AKB last year doesn’t entry it this year because she has to graduate from AKB in this summer. Who does get votes of Maeda Astuko’s fans?

    I think Akimoto Yasushi who is the producer of AKB is a smart man. He sells a lot of AKB’s CDs with voting papers. It has sold about 1.6 million CDs in a week. It is great record. Recently, CDs doesn’t sell gradually because people use some functions which can listen to music without buying CDs such an iTunes. However, AKB’s CDs sell a lot because of Akimoto Yasushi’s strategy.

    Morinaga Takuro who is an economist said that Kashiwagi Yuki will get the center position. She was the second place at the interim report follow Oshima Yuko. Morinaga Takuro thinks the second person will get the center position at the election and the first person will be second. I think it is interesting. I want Oshima Yuko to get the center position.

This is a young serval cat story. Do you know the serval cat? The serval is about twice as big as an average house cat. However, he lives in dangerous world. An average house cat can eat food without hunting and he is always safety. However, the serval can’t live without hunting and he always worried about another hunter such as lions. This book tells us about it. This book has a lot of color pictures or illustrations on every page, so you can enjoy it. When you read this book, you will think that the natural world is too hard for small animals compared with our comfortable life. I think this book is very interesting, so please read it.

BR1-10: Killer Bees!

"Nobody really knows if the native bees of Latin America...."   (p. 27)

Do you like bees? This is a book about bees lived in South America, Panama and Mexico. I don't like bees because they are dangerous for people. However, the rain forest will not survive without the native bees, this book said. There are variety of bees in the world. For example, there are hornat wasp, paper wasp and honey bee. Some bees have venom, so people don't like bees and kill them. However, the rain forest needs bees. If you want to know why the rain forest needs bees, please read this book. David Roubik who is an entomologist tells about it in this book. He has studied bees for over 30 years. I think he is a courageous man. This book has many color pictures, so you can enjoy reading this book. Please try it!

P☆League

    It is my favorite TV show about bowling games. It started in 2006 because Japan  Professional Bowling Association wanted people to enjoy playing bowling. The title of TV is P☆League. P has 5 meanings. It is “Pretty”, “Power”, “Passion”, “Performance” and “Perfect”. All of participants are girls, so they are always fashionable. Do you know the maximum point of bowling? It is 300 points. If someone gets it at the final, she can get 3 million yen. It is good news. If they lose at the first game, they don’t entry at the next time. It is bad news.

    I’ll introduce some participant. First, I’ll tell you about Hiromi Mastunaga. I think she is the strongest player of all, because she won 8 times. It is the best record of that TV. She is from Fukuoka, so her nickname is “miracle fighter of Hakata”. She is powerful, so she can get strikes easily. 

   Next, I’ll tell you about Aki Suzuki. She is a cute girl. However, she seldom becomes smile. Her nickname is “funky girl of Tokai”. She is a good player, but she has never won at the final. I want her to win at the final and I want to watch her smile.

    Finally, I’ll tell you about Seul Ki Kim. She is from Korea. She has played only one time at the P-League. Her nickname is “fighting! K-girl”. P-League is an international TV. Stutida Teruyuki who is a Japanese comedian introduced at the Ame-talk. He also likes P-League very much. If you are interested in bowling, please watch it.

This book teaches us differences between England and Europe. When Japanese go to England for the first time, you will be in trouble there because Japan and England are differ from language, lifestyle and rule and so on. This book has some good points. First, this book has some instances to describe differences between England and Europe. For example, there is a conversation between English and European people. Second, there are 24 chapters in this book. Every chapter has a different subject, so you began to read from chapter 19 if you want to know about driving cars in England. This book is very interesting. Please read it.

I like listening class because I like the movie that we watch as a text. The title of the movie is "True man show". It is very interesting. I think my listening teacher is cool. I dislike economics because it is very difficult. It is the fifth class, so I usually feel tired and sleepy. However, I will not get the credit if I take a nap during the class, so I will try to listen to it carefully next time.

This is a book about Gucci. Do you know who started Gucci first? Do you know when Gucci came to Japan? This book teaches us that. I'm not interested in fashion, but I enjoyed reading this book because this book taught me story of Gucci's family. It was not good story. I think rich family has big problems. Famous fashion companies have original logo. But sometimes I find false logos. According to this book, you can usually buy false Gucci products in Asia. A good point of this book is having pictures, so you may be not bored. Please read it.

I think Kumamoto Gakuen University is a good university, so I will tell exchange students useful information about KGU. KGU is a large university, so it has a lot of useful places to study or spend college life. However, I want to tell three useful things. One thing exchange students will need to know is having a lot of cheap places to eat lunch. Another one is having a lot of computers. Something else they'll want to know is having a large library.

First, KGU has a lot of cheap places to eat lunch. For example, there is the dining room, the bakery and so on. The dining room has healthy menus, so it is very popular for students and some professors. If you go to there at lunch time, you may not able to get table to eat lunch. The bakery has a lot of variety of menu, but it is popular too. If you want to get a place to eat lunch at lunch time, I recommend going to first floor of the third building. It is not as popular as the dining room and the bakery.

Second, KGU has a lot of computers, so you can use a computer and printer anytime. There are computers in e-campus center, library and first building. KGU’ computers have a The Oxford English Dictionary and British National Corpus. You can’t use it at home. It is very useful to study English. When I told my friend about it, she was surprised. When you forget to do your assignment, you can use a computer and finish your assignment without going home.

Third, KGU has a large library. It has a lot of variety of book. For example, there are book for TOIEC or TOFLE, book for thesis, magazine, newspaper and One piece written in English. You can watch movies at the library because library has many DVDs and TV to watch a DVD. It is wonderful for me to watch a DVD at the library. Sometimes, the library holds showing of movie. It is for free. You should check this information.

KGU should have signs for exchange students. KGU is large and has a lot of buildings, so exchange students may lose the way. It is waste of time for them. If KGU has signs for them, it makes their college life useful. KGU has a lot of exchange students who come from China, Korea, and America and so on, so KGU needs signs in Chinese, Korean and English.

These information will make exchange students’ life enjoy and satisfying. I want exchange students to spend wonderful life in Japan. KGU has a lot of good things and interesting circles and clubs, so I want you to find it yourself. If you find it, please tell me. Please go to these places to spend your good college life.

How I study English

I often study English listening to English songs and watching DVDs in English because it is fun for me and it is practice for listening skill. When I listening to English songs, I try to understand it. Beatles’ songs are good to study English because it is not difficult.
