Final exam

I'll teach about this class for  the students who will take writing III and IV.

In this class, I could learn English using computer and blog. In Writing I and II class, we learned English using textbook. I didn't use textbook at writhing III and IV class, so I could write anything on my blog. I had to write 25,000 words at Writing III and IV. It sounds so hard, but you can write anything, so you will enjoy your blog in this class. In this class, you can learn how to write essay in English. I think it is good experience for you, so you should do it hard. 

In Writing III class, you should do typing homework, book reviews and essays. You will do book reviews for the first time in this class. If you have any questions when you write it, you should ask your teacher. You have to do typing homework every week. It may be hard, but if you don't do it, you may lost this class. 

In Writing Iv class, you have to write 15,000 words, so I recommend you start your blog during summer vacation. You have typing homework in summer vacation, but you should post more. If you do that, you will pass this class. In this class, you have to use any functions of computer. For example, those are main-map and audio boo. I had not known about these functions since I used in this class. 

I think this class is English and computer class, so you can learn a lot of things. This class was hard because I had to do my blog, but very interesting for me. I want you to enjoy this class. If you have any questions in this class, you should raise your hand, and you should ask your teacher. 

Speaking class

I finished speaking class today. I did a lot of things in the speaking class. For example, I did presentations, group presentation, and debate. I think that presentation is the most interesting work, because I could speak my favorite things. Group presentation was also interesting, but I had to gather with my group mate outside of the class. I did debate in some topic. It was family restaurants and cars. It sounds easy, but it was not easy for me. However, doing debate was good experience for me. I liked English Central because I could some interesting video, and I could study English. I had to get 45,000 points. It was hard, but I could. Sometimes, I did funny short video. My favorite video in English Central was “Funny dog”. I wrote about it in my blog. Please check it. I took speaking test yesterday. It has two parts. Those were speaking about topic we chose, and debate. We had to speak about plans for vacation. I didn’t like this topic because I have no plans for spring vacation. After that, I had to debate with my classmate. I had to recommend Mandarin Palace. This speaking test was not good for me because I couldn’t speak well. Anyway, I am glad to finish speaking class.

speaking A party

Yesterday, I went to speaking A party. We gathered in front of PARCO at 7 o’clock, and we went to Kitchen Ku. It was an Italian restaurant. I sat dawn next to Misaki. She drank sake too much, and she had been crying. I didn’t know why she was crying. However, I understood she had some problem. I ate a lot of plates. Everything I ate was very good taste. I couldn’t drink alcohol because I had to drive a car, but I spent a good time with my classmates. The waiter who worked at this restaurant was cool, I thought. However, Misaki said that he was not cool. She didn’t agree with me. After the party, we went to the game arcade, and we took purikura. It was very hot. After that, I went home. I enjoyed this party, so I want to join this party next time.

shopping

Yesterday, I went to shopping with my mother, my friend and friend’s mother. We went to Outlet in Tosu. We went to there by cay, and I drove. We didn’t the express way, so it took 3 hours. My friend’s mother had been sleeping in my car because she couldn’t sleep because of her work. My mother and friend’s mother are working in hospital as a nurse. They are good friends. When we arrived at Tosu, I looked around many shops with my mother. I bought clothes, shoes and a bag. My mother bought to me pumps. It was very cute. I like it very much. I had a good time there. My friend also had a good time there.

Dairy

Yesterday, I got up at 7 o’clock, and I went to KGU. I had three classes yesterday. First, I took Writing IV class. In the class, I made a new page on my blog. It was not difficult. After that, I wrote about writing III and IV class and posted them. I wrote essays, book reviews and typing. Those are good for study English because those improve my writing skill, I think. Next, I ate lunch with my friend. I usually bring my lunch box. It was good time for me. After that, I took Environmental class. I like this class. Yesterday, I learned new energy instead of nuclear energy. I thought that it is difficult to produce new energy because it needs much money, and we don’t know it is safe or not. If you use nuclear energy, you never forget big accident. After that, I took Listening class. I am learning Notting Hill. I can learn British English. I leaned last unit yesterday, and next class, I have a Listening final. I have to study for it. After that, I went to my part time job. I worked for 2 hours yesterday. It was very short. I like my part time job because my job is not busy, and job mate are very friendly. I wrote my blog after I came back to my home. I have to write about 650 words by January 26, so I am writing now.  That’s all.

Coming of Age Day

Two days ago, it was important day for 20 years old. It was Coming of Age Day. It is one of the holidays in Japan. The law about the holiday in Japan says that a person is conscious of becoming a person of full age, and we will celebrate a person who tries to live one’s own life. Every city holds a ceremony for 20 years old. I went to it on January 13^th. It was held at the hall in Kikuchi. Many people gathered there. For example, there was Kikuchi Minami junior high, Kikuchi Kita junior high, Shisui junior high, Hichijyo junior high and Kyokushi junior high school students. I met kindergarten friends, junior high friends and high school friends. Everyone wore formal dress. Girls wore beautiful kimono and boys wore suit. Some boys wore Hakama. Kimono and Hakama are Japanese traditional dresses. I wore black kimono. Coming of Age Day is also a good chance to wear Japanese traditional dress. My high school friend was a chairperson of the ceremony in Kikuchi, so I listened to his speech without sleeping. I took pictures with my friends after the ceremony. I enjoyed it.

By the way, people who become 20 years old are recognized adult in legal in Japan. However, many countries don’t same. In Puerto Rico, becoming 14 years old means adult. I think that it is too fast. In Nepal, becoming 16 years old means adult. In North Korea, becoming 16 years old means adult. In Australia, Netherland, China and so on, becoming 18 years old means adult. In Thailand and New Zealand, becoming 20 years old means adult like Japan. It is very interesting.

I think that becoming adult in legal has good point and bad point. Good point is drinking alcohol and getting money you work. In Japan, people who don’t 20 years old can’t drink sake and can’t buy it. I think that drinking sake means adult. However, drinking sake can be bad point. Sometimes, I heard that person who drunken sake too much died because of car accident or alcohol abuse. It is sad news. I want to try not to drink too much when I drink it. Another good point is getting money you work. In my high school, I couldn’t have a part time job because high school prohibited it. On the other hand, we can have a part time job in university. So, we can make money and we can get car license. I think that working as a part time job is good for our future. We can learn a lot of things there.

Bad point is responsibility of adult. We got the franchise last year. I went to election and voted. We have to think about future of Japan. I became an adult in legal, but I can’t live my own life yet, so I want to live my own life as early as possible, and I want to de good to my parents.

Writing IV

This semester, I am taking writing IV. I have to write 15,000 words in this semester. It is so hard for me. Now, I wrote about 13,500 words, so I have to write about 1,500 words by next Saturday. In this semester, I had to write 18 book reviews. I read non fiction. All books I read in this semester was written by Waring Rob. His books was easy to read, so I like his books. He writes about environment and traditional, so it was so interesting for me. In this semester, I wrote 5 essays. My favorite essay topic was movie essay. I wrote about Johnny Depp with my group mate. I watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and my group mate watched other Johnny Depp' movie. We changed information each other. It was interesting for me. In this semester, I made Mind Map. It was good tool to write essays. I enjoyed this class.

Writing III

Last semester, I took Writing III. My teacher was Mr. B. We had to write 10,000 words. I had not made blog, so I didn't know what I write on my blog. So, I wrote book reviews the most. I thought that book reviews was good for studying English because we read books in English, and we write reviews in English. Typing homework from Mr. T was interesting because typing topics was not difficult to write. I wrote it every week, and send it to Mr.T. I wrote 6 essays. First, I wrote a letter for host family. It was a assignment of spring vacation. 2nd essay's topic was useful information about KGU. I rewrote it 3 times. I wrote it with my essay group. We changed useful information about KGU each other. It was good experience for me. 3rd essay's topic was language learning history. I thought that this topic was the most interesting for me. I wrote about Japanese, English and French. I rewrote it 2 times. The good point of writhing class was commenting for classmate, I think. I got some good comments and good questions from my classmate. Thanks to them, I could rewrote my essays.  In Writing III, I made Proto-Portfolios. It was good tool to count words I wrote. Writing III was good for study English and computer for me.

Presentation

Hello! I want to tell you about my favorite TV with my presentation. It is P-League. Do you know? It is bowling game TV. All player of P-League are female, so very fashionable. Pro bowler wear own favorite uniform, and not pro bowler wear team uniform. P-League has 5 meanings. Those are pretty, power, performance, passion and perfect. P-league is a tournament style game. Each game has three players. The last person of each game can’t join the next tournament. The winner gets 5 hundred thousand yen. The perfect score is three hundred points. If you score three hundred points, you can get ten million yen. Many comedians like P-League. Tsutida Teruyuki who is a famous comedian introduced P-League at the famous TV, Ame-Talk.

The interesting point of P-League is unique catchphrase. Every player has own catchphrase, so I’ll tell you some example. First is Matsunaga Hiromi. Her catchphrase is miracle fighter of Hakata. She is also called queen of P-League because she became a champion the most. She is a good and cute pro bowler.

Next is Miki Mishimura. Her catchphrase is dynamic bomber of Naniwa. The ball that she throws is called rising ball. Next is Hitomi Ando. Her catchphrase is cute eyes because her name is Hitomi. It means eye in Japanese. It has nothing to do with bowling. Next is Nao Oishi. Her catchphrase is super heroin of kitaguni. She often gets good score and she can often go final game. I think that she is one of good player of P-League. However, she has a big rival. It is Horomi Matsunaga that I introduced the first. She often says “I want to beast Hiromi senpai someday.” Next is Mina Ando. Her catchphrase is powerful lefty. She is a Nippon Sport Science University student. She is very powerful. Next is Ayumi Kobayashi. Her catchphrase is brilliant lefty. She is left hander. Her sister is also P-league player, but her sister is not left hander. Next is Kim Surugi. Her catchphrase is fighting K-girl. She is a Korean. She is very cute and good player. Next is Aki Suzuki. She is my favorite player. Her catchphrase is funky girl of Tokai. She doesn’t smile when she gets strike. It is very cool. She is very interesting person, so I like her very much. Next is Himeji Urara. Her catchphrase is bowling parisienne because her name sounds like Takarazuka. She became a champion 7 times. Finally, I want to introduce Ryo Izuno. He is not P-League player. He is an announcer. He often shouts “ Good job!” or “Excellent!” when players get strike or spare. He is an important person of P-League.

Eigo Rakugo

I studied Eigo Rakugo at the Intercultural communication class. I watched some video about Eigo Rakugo. I think that Eigo Rakugo is so fun. However, I found that to make Eigo Rakugo is not easy. We have to do Eigo Rakugo during the class. So, I found a Rakugo in Japanese, and I translated Japanese into English. I changed some words because foreigner can’t understand when they listen to this Rakugo. Please find what words are changes.

＿Cupcake I fate＿

One night, young shop owners gathered and started to talk about what they are scared of. One owner said “I’m afraid of hurricane.” The other said “I’m afraid of spiders.” But, only Tatsu said “I have nothing to be afraid of” So, they asked “How about snakes? How about thunder?” But, he said he liked them

They couldn’t believe Tatsu, so asked more. At last, he confessed “Actually, I’m afraid of cupcakes.” Then, he told them that he started to feel sick because he said “cupcakes” and had to stay in bed.

All the shoppers thought “It’s a good chance to punish him because he is a wise ass.” So, they bought a lot of cupcakes and put them in his room.

They said to him “We brought some bananas for you.” and they heard his voice saying “Oh no, they are cupcakes, no no…”

They chuckled and looked into the room. Tatsu was eating cupcakes saying “No way!. Cupcakes. I’m afraid of cupcakes, no no…”  “What’s the hell? Hey you! What are you really afraid of?” they asked. Tatsu answered,

“Now, I’m afraid of a cup of coffee.”

winter vacation

I want to tell you about my winter vacation.

On 31, December, I worked about 6 hours. After that, I went to my friend house with my friends to see the old year out and the New Year in. My friend house is in Kikka, and there are many tree and mountain around his house, so it was so cold. We made Kimuchi-nabe. It was so good. Everyone drunk sake, but I didn’t because I had to go part time job next morning. We watched comedy TV. It was ‘Waratteha-ikenai 24’. It was so funny. We enjoyed it. We paid a visit to a shrine on New Year’s Day. We drew a fortune slip there. Two people were very good luck. I was not so-good fortune. However, I was not sad because my friend was too. After that, we went to Daikanbou in Aso. It was so far. I drove because everyone couldn’t drive because of alcohol. I was so sleepy then. There were many cars, so it was hard to find a parking. I went home at 7 o’clock, and I went to part time job at 9. It was hard for me, but it was good memory.

                                             

On January 1^st and 2^nd, I had part time job. I worked about 8 hours.

On January 3^rd, I went to Dazaifu- Tenmangu in Fukuoka with my family. My older brother couldn’t go there because of part time job. My sister has an entrance examination for high school, so I wished she can pass it.

My winter vacation was so hard, but I had a good time with my friends and my family.
