This book tells us about the people who
rescue young puffins. The place of this story is Heimaey, Iceland. The children
of Heimaey have been saving young puffins for a long time, according to this
book. If they don’t do that, young puffins may die. So, the children’s job is
very important. It sounds like hard for children because they have to take care
of young puffins. Actually, the children enjoy taking care of it.
I think that the people of Heimaey are very
kind. They patrol to find puffins each night at the end of the summer because
puffins may confuse and crash into something. It is very hard work. If I were
in their position, I couldn’t do that each night. I think that the children who
living in Heimaey will become a kind man. This is the very interesting and
heartwarming story, so please read it.
